A Very Quick Number Poem

11 minutes left to write and post for today

10 minutes too long in the hot tub designing light bulbs with a 7 year old

9 times 2 switchbacks in the hike at Snowmass this morning

8 trips outside with the dogs trying to avoid the unavoidable accidents in the house

7 minutes left to post and thinking this number poem was not such a good idea

6 computer tips with Mom that I’ll likely need to repeat

5 minutes left to post and still struggling with 8 and 7!!!

4 dinner guests playing dogopoly together

3 quarters of a waffle with fruit for breakfast

2 stops on the way home from Aspen

1 wonderfully long, friend and family filled day

  1. I’ve tried to write a slice based on numbers like this one several times this month, but I just haven’t been able to do it. I’m glad it worked out for you at the last minute! It’s a great format to say a lot about the day in not-so-many words. Sounds like a fun-filled day!

  2. “and a partridge in a pear tree” off season version. That beats my time for tonight — a meeting caught me by surprise. Back home less than an hour before deadline, flat footed with no post but a few ideas,I embedded an html clip relevant to post slicing plans, added image + link also relevant, and a few paragraphs of blather. Hit the publish button in under 1/2 hour and shared the link on TWT. Whew. Chill time now.

One good thing about late night slicing on a deadline is that it forces me to write shorter posts and not dally getting them out. I hope that will carry
